About the Counselors

Ms. Chlapowski graduated from Tufts University with a BA in Psychology and worked in the human services field as an Education Liaison and Case Manager for the Department of Youth Services for several years.  She also earned a Masters of Elementary Education from UMASS Lowell and a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lesley University specializing in school and community services.  

Now in her fifth year with the Harvard Public Schools, Mrs. Chlapowski appreciates the strong sense of community and supportive environment that exists here.   She hopes to work with faculty, administration and community partners to continue to develop and refine our social-emotional learning program as well as to support all of the children and families of Harvard.

Mrs. Reale graduated from Springfield College with a Bachelors in Science.  She also has a Masters of Social Work from the University of Connecticut and is a Licensed Independent Social Worker.  She has worked in the Harvard Public Schools for sixteen years as the elementary school counselor.  Prior to that she spent many years working in both inpatient and outpatient mental health settings as well as emergency rooms.  

She enjoys working with students, families, and community providers to help students achieve social and emotional health and academic success.
