Art Foundations

This course introduces students to a range of media and techniques, including pastels, acrylic paint, charcoal, printmaking, and more. Through experimenting with these media, students will establish a foundation in technical skills while developing a personal artistic style. Explorations of art history and visual culture in class discussions and museum settings will contribute to an understanding of diverse perspectives and styles that will inform students' growth as artists. Through reflecting on their work and developing a portfolio, students will be able to document and observe their evolving skills and creativity.
