Classical Literature Courses


Classical Literature – Grade 10

Duration:Full Year

This course involves the reading of the earliest prominent works of our literary heritage in the Western world and selected modern classics that reflect ancient themes. Writing and oral communication continue to be stressed, especially in terms of the essay of literary analysis. Vocabulary development and the mastery of grammar also continue to be core curriculum concerns. The course also includes an interdisciplinary research unit.

This course involves the reading of the earliest prominent works of our literary heritage in the Western world and selected modern classics that reflect ancient themes. Writing and oral communication continue to be stressed, especially in terms of the essay of literary analysis. Vocabulary development and the mastery of grammar also continue to be core curriculum concerns. The course also includes an interdisciplinary research unit. This course requires additional outside reading.
